About Us - This is our Story

Plum Bum Babe was born out of two South African Moms love for all things stylish and practical when it comes to our little ones. We love products that actually work and add value to a modern mom’s everyday life, while still being true to a beautifully minimalistic aesthetic.

With our Signature Change Mat, we found that moms will invest in a beautiful and functional nappy bag but that nappy bag often comes with a change mat that is scratchy, small and, quite frankly, not practical for changing a baby at all – especially as your little one grows.

We’ve taken the classic change mat and transformed it with unique prints based on European interior trends so that they fit seamlessly into the modern mom’s lifestyle and aesthetic. Not only do they set the tone for a nursery space, and make for a stylish and practical baby shower gift, but they also make a gorgeous photo backdrop for all our mamas who love snapping pictures of their babes (and… don’t we all love a good snap for our Insta-feed?)

We have designed our change mats to be generously sized to grow with your babe from birth to potty training. As moms, we are always busy and on-the-go, so, we know that a functional(and beautiful) change mat in our nappy bags is non-negotiable – something that folds up, is comfy and soft for our babies, plus, is wipeable and water-resistant.
